This evening, after Tony and I got back from our walk, I put our "Three
Tenors" tape in the VCR and finished putting my "Big Busted" quilt top
together and added the borders. I think I am going to like this one when it
is finished. It is sooo colorful and scrappy. You can see it at my web shots
under works in progress.

I worked at JoAnn Fabrics for five hours today. Had a great time. I delivered an Expandable Tote to one of the ladies I work with. This one is for her sister. She gave me more fabric so I can make one for herself. While her bag sat on our counter another lady came along and expressed an interest. She said she wants some for her daughters. I gave her my card. Now we will see what happens??? If you are interested you can see some of the bags at my blog on my homepage (addy above).

I'm headed for bed shortly. Good night...

What I did Today

Today started out as a nice sunny day. A little windy, but not to bad. Tony's (AKA Grampa, AKA my husband) physical therapist came for a visit this morning. They went out for their usual walk then did some exercises. He is coming along very good. This was her last visit for which I'm glad. She annoyed me. She was always either late or early. Today she was 15 min early. Why???

This afternoon and evening it turned rainy and cold. I took a 2 hour nap. This evening I finished my pink Anti-bug Hat. Since I don't know how to post pictures on this blog, I put the pictures on my homepage blog and on my etsy. You can see them at http://www.craftygramabags.hobbies.homepagenow.com or http://craftygramabags.etsy.com

Yesterday afternoon Grampa and I went over to our sons', Tony's house to spend some time with Anthony, our grandson. I wanted to get Grampa out of the house for a while and doing something different. We watched while Tony put the swimming pool up. Anthony entertained us by showing us his Dad's collection of cars. He must have 6 or 7 old cars that are in various conditions. Some are running and some aren't. That little 4 year old can tell you the makes, models and years of all of his Dad's cars.

Here it is 12:30 AM again and time to go to bed again. Tomorrow morning I am going to the Senior Center for quilting. We have been working on some Dresden Plate blocks. They are all soooo pretty. Maybe someday (after I get caught up with every thing else) I will make myself a quilt using that block.

I'm headed for bed. Good night.

So Far Today ----

This morning I got up and went to church for the first time since Tony (AKA Grampa)had his heart attack on Jan 13th.I am finally to the point where I am comfortable leaving him along for a few hours.

I stripped the bed and did the first load of wash. That is on the clothes line now and the second load is in washing. I did some vacumming upstairs. One of our phones downstairs wasn't working properly so I replaced it with one from my computer room. I hooked it up and it was working fine til Grampa came along and "fixed" it. We had a "discussion" about why he did what he did. That man will drive me nuts, yet. I'm not sure if it is working now or not. I will check it out when he goes for his nap.

Last night I finally finished my Anti-bug Hat and got photos of it.
These hats are sooo nice. I should start wearing them myself. I posted pictures on my http://www.craftygramabags.hobbies.homepagenow.com
blog. I haven't figured out how to post them here. I'm still working on that one - along with other things.

Today has been a good day so far. The alarm went off at 8 AM so I could get up and give Grampa his pills. I thought about going back to sleep for awhile, but the phone rang. It was Bonnie (from JoAnns') asking if I would like to work from 10 to 2 . After being sure Grampa would be OK left along for a few hours, I told her "yes, I would love to work". Sooo I spent 4 hours doing one of my favorite things - cutting fabric and chatting with people at JoAnns'.
After I got home, Grampa and I went out for a short walk. He likes to do that at least twice a day. Then we each had a dish of Pistashio Nut ice cream (yumyum). My ice cream is all gone and I'm still here messing with this computer. I really have to go sew. I want to finish my Anti-Bug Hat that I have been working on far to long. I will post a picture of it - when it is finished -if I can figure out how to do it on this thing.

OK - I'm still learning

OK - I'm doing a lot of playing and learning, so just bear with me - alright??

The photo I managed to add was taken of me a couple of years ago at a Quilting Weekend that one of our local quilt shops holds every year at the end of Jan. I have attended every year for about the past 15 years. Last year (Jan 2009) was the first one I had to miss in all of those years because my husband, Tony, had just gotten out of the hospital after having a heart attack. The stuff on the table is the bags that I make and sell there. I always do very good in sales. You can see more about the bags at either my homepage http://www.craftygramabags.homepagenow.com or my etsy http://www.craftygramabags.etsy.com

It's almost 10:30 and I wanted to get some sewing done tonight. I want to finish an Anti-Bug Hat.
I will play some more tomorrow if I don't forget everything I learned today.

Good night...Crafty Grama

I did it again----

Oh, my goodness. I did it again. I hit a button and got involved in something else.

I guess I will figure this out as I go along.

I will try a few more buttons and see what happens. With any kind of luck I will be back.

See ya later...Crafty Grama
