I'm out of zippers

I ran out of 7" zippers this afternoon, so I can't make any more small change purses til I go shopping again. I still have the longer zippers I need for "Clutch Bags" so I will probably work on them for awhile. I made one this evening and have several more cut out. Today was another wonderful warm, sunny day. I got outside and went for a short walk. According to the weather man our weather is going to start turning cold very shortly. I am NOT looking forward to that. Tomorrow I have an early class at the LQS. We are going to do some machine embroidery on an apron. I need to get my book and get in bed. Good night and sweet dreams, Everyone...

Small Change Purses for Men

Today I made a few small Change Purses for the men in your life. I tried to use what I consider masculian (?) colors and fabrics. These purses are the right size for a little cash and/or a charge card. If you see something you like or if you have any questions, please contact me...

My Small Change Purses

Here are some of my Small Change Purses that I enjoy making and would love to sell some of. They are the perfect size for a little cash and/or a charge card. I make them out of new cotton fabric that has been kept in my smoke and pet free home. Kids like them (to carry lunch money in) done in their favorite theme fabric or school colors. A metal slip ring has been added to the zipper pull. I charge $10.00 plus $1.00 postage for each purse. You may use my paypal acc't. If you are interested or have any questions please contact me. Thank you and have a nice day...

Progress on my Table Topper

Today was another good day. The sun was shinning all day and the temp was in the low 80's. I went to mass this morning, then worked at JoAnn Fabrics in the afternoon. This evening I finished the blocks for my Serged Log Cabin Table Topper. If I could figure out how to add a photo to this, I would add a picture. I will try to add one on my facebook page I'm finally back to work after being off for almost 6 weeks. Today was the third day in a row that I worked. It is sooo good to be back. No more excitement in my life for today. I am going to get my book and get in bed very shortly. Good night and sweet dreams, Everyone...

A Perfect Day

Today was a perfect day. The temp was in the low 80's and the sun was shining all day. I went to mass this morning and stopped at Barnes & Nobel on the way home. I got myself another Suduko (? sp) book. I left my other one on the plane when I was coming home from vacation last month. Bummer... Tomorrow I have a class at the LQS. I will be making a red & off white Serged Log Cabin table topper. I got all my strips cut this evening and I think I'm ready to go. Now I have to pack my serger and get it in the car. Last night I got myself involved with Pinterest. That was a mistake??? I spend far to much time messing around on it. I found lots of interesting stuff, but will I ever do anything with it??? Who can say??? OK...How do I add a photo???

Can You Believe it ???

Can you believe it has been almost seven (yes, 7) months since I last posted. Where did the time go???. Let's see - what have I been doing?? Since I last posted I went on a Quilting Weekend the end of Jan.. Had a great time as usual. I spent a lot of time working at JoAnn Fabrics. I love that job. The people (both co-workers and guests) are wonderful. We had a very mild winter. Very little snow and unusually warm temps. If I wasn't at JoAnn's working, you could usually find me at the "LQS" (Grandmother's Thimble) working on some project or another. Very exciting stuff. I learned a lot more about my "Version 6" and "Cut Work" software that goes with my Bernina machine. July came and I went out to Nev and Calif to visit kids, grandkids, and g-grandkids. I had a good time, but I was having difficulty walking. For some reason the muscels in my legs tightened up and caused a lot of pain and agrivation(? sp). That has cleared up by now. NOW for the SHOCKER. I found a lump in my breast the Sat. before I came home on Tues.. Saw my family Dr on Wed. followed by seeing a specialist shortly after. "Yes" it is cancer. I am now going for various tests getting ready for surgery. So far no date has been set. I am doing OK. I AM going to get through this and I AM going to be fine. I am to busy for this nonsence. I have a quilting weekend in Oct., an "Anita Gooddesign" event in Nov., and another quilting weekend in Jan., plus several quilt/software classes lined up. I am asking for prayers. "Please and thank you" in advance. I think that pretty much updates my activities for the past 7 months. I want to go sew and watch a little TV before I get in bed. Good night and sweet dreams, Everyone...

Another Crafty Grama Expandable Tote

I finished another Crafty Grama Expandable Tote/Duffle Bag this evening. No one has claimed this bag yet. I haven't made many green bags and I really like this one. I think the next bag is going to be a diaper bag.

I need to get to bed. Tomorrow is going to be another early day. I want to go quilting at the Senior Center in the morning, most likely do some sewing in the afternoon and back to work at JoAnn Fabrics in the evening.

Today was a wonderful day. The temp at my house got up to 60 and the sun was shinning almost all day. Maybe spring has sprung and we are going to forget about winter?? Tomorrow will be another wonderful day, according to the weather man.

Im' going to bed. Good night and sweet dreams everyone

A Finish

Hi Everyone. I'm just not very good about this "blogging business". I really need to post more often.
BUT, I do have a new finish that I want to show off. It's this Expandable Tote/Duffle Bag that I made for Nancie. She is a new friend that I met at our Quilting Weekend last week. She chose her own fabric and I really like it. Now I need to get it packaged up and in the mail for her.
It's getting late (after 12:00 AM) and I need to get my book and get in bed. Good night and sweet dreams, Everyone

My First Finish for 2012

My First Finish for 2012

Here is my first finish for 2012. I completed the binding this afternoon and evening. It's just the right size to use as a throw on the back of my Grand Fathers rocking chair.

I didn't do much today except sit and watch some movies on TV and work on the binding. It was much to cold to go outside. The temp is in the single digits.

Tomorrow morning I am planning on going to the Senior Center to quilt. We are finally able to return after a flood that left the building devestated (?sp) and all of our quilting supplies GONE.

I am going to go watch some more TV and find another UFO to work on

Happy New Year 2012

Here is my first(almost) finish for the new year. It's a small lap size (I can't think of the name of the Pattern)quilt that I started a few months. This evening I stitched the binding on and now I need to hand stitch it down and it will be finished.

Today is AJ's 7th B'day. We had a small family party for him at the club. We had pizza, chicken wings and (of course) b'day cake. Michele's (his Mom) whole family were there. It's always nice to see everyone. I left early because I wasn't feeling well.

2012 is not starting out very good for me. All day yesterday (Sun., Jan 1 ) I was dealing with a migraine headache. I slept most of the day. I'm a little better today, but not wonderful. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better.

According to the weather man, we have some cold, snowy, winter weather headed our way tonight and tomorrow. I am NOT looking forward to that.
It's almost time for me to get my book and get in bed.
Good night, Everyone...
