A Good Day for Baking

Today was one of those cold, rainy, miserable days that was good for nothing but baking. Sooo after church I went grocery shopping and came home and did some baking. First I made a big pot of Cheesy Potato Soup with carrots and brocoli (? sp) added. It really hit the spot. After I enjoyed my soup and got my bones warmed up I started on the cookies. First I did a double batch of Peanut Butter Cho Chip. I found a new recipe at . They turned out perfect. Next I tried another new recipe for Sugar Cookies. I tried to fancy them up and I ended up with a mess. They taste alright, but look awful.

Last Fri we went to AJs' schools' Christmas show and party. Those little kids put on a fantistic show. Afterwards we all went to Micheles' for pizza and wings. Later TR & Michele went out and the other Grama and Grampa stayed with AJ. I stayed and visited for awhile. Then I came home and sewed for awhile. It was a very nice evening.

I'm still getting in a lot of hours at JoAnn Fabrics. All of this craziness will be over in a couple of weeks and I'm hoping to cut back to three or four days a week.

It's almost bed time again. I have been trying to read after I get in bed, but I always seem to fall asleep with my book.
Good night and sweet dreams, Everyone...

  1. Falling asleep with a book means you were really tired Helen. And those cookies look fabulous.
